Original Craze compared to Craze V2

admin

I’m sure everyone remembers the good ol’ days of hardcore pre workout supplements like DS Craze?

Everyone was going crazy for these energy packed pre-workout supplements for a while. Some of them even won awards for being top performing supplements.

Many Youtube channels had reviews on supplements like craze giving them a 10 out of 10 rating on their channels. The Hodgetwins said in their review that they would no longer be taking Jack3d because the old craze was much stronger than the old Jack3d. Watch there review below.

These supplements made you lift harder and feel stronger and most people could train longer like the hadgetwins mentioned in their video.

People started to get addicted to supplements like Craze which caught the eyes of the FDA. Once this happened it was only a matter of time before some lab test were done and the findings were not good.

The lab test reported that the original formula of Craze contained meth-like compounds, no wonder people were going nuts over it. Some stores and online retailers started to pull Craze from their shelves. Even though this supplement had reports of having harmful compounds people still wanted it and would pay to get it.Not long after the lab test were taken the product was removed from the market in 2013.

Legal issues for Drive Sports

The CEO of Driven Sports Matt Cahill had some legal issues and it didn’t take long for the media to catch wind. In no time flat Matt’s past legal issues were popping up everywhere, bringing up his past jail time for having shady compounds in some weight loss pills in the past.

Even with all of the legal issues Matt still decided to reformulate his pre-workout supplement while awaiting his court appearance.

Is the DS Craze DEAD?

Is Craze Dead?

Driven Sports introduces Craze V2 and one would think they would be under a close eye of the FDA with all of their legal issues in the past.

So how good is the new Craze V2 and what is in it?

As you can see it looks a lot more like a normal pre-workout comparted to the old formula of Craze, that crazy energy amped up feeling was most likely coming from the Dendrobex and the Citramine that are no longer in the new formula. Dendrobex is and extract from an orchid flower and Citramine is extracted from oranges. These are both stimulants and have been shown to enhance mood. These two supplements are still legal today. Where Craze ran into legal issues is when the original formula tested positive for other chemicals on top of the two listed above.

So let’s get back to the new formula and how it can help you get those explosive workouts we have all grown to love.

The Ingredients that make you a beast

Creatine

We all know how great creatine is so it’s not a big surprise to find it listed in the ingredients. This supplement has been proven to enhance strength and muscle mass. Creatine has a lot of benefits but it’s mostly known for its ability to increase strength and lean muscle mass.

Betaine Anhydrous:

Betaine (also known as Trimethylglycine) is the amino acid Glycine with the addition of three methyl groups attached. Betaine is said to increase power output and strength by increasing cellular swelling, a phenomenon well established with Creatine supplementation, which can drastically reduce the damaging effect of outside stimuli (such as exercise) on the working muscle.

Betaine has been investigated in several human studies, and has had some pretty positiveresults thus far.
Like Creatine, the amount of Betaine present in Craze V2 is probably pretty negligible compared to what has been used in studies.

L-Tryosine

Tryosine is the third compound in this supplement and is an non-essential amino acid.

Tyrosine is one of the amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein. The body makes tyrosine from another amino acid called phenylalanine. Tyrosine can also be found in dairy products, meats, fish, eggs, nuts, beans, oats, and wheat.

L-Citrulline

This is where the increased endurance comes from and the ability to fight through fatigue on the days you just don’t want to train.

This compound also has been shown to help with muscle pump as well during a workout.

Caffeine

Everyone loves caffeine it gives many Americas the energy to get through their day.

Choline

Choline is required for the synthesis of the neurotransmitter Acetylcholine, so it is commonly included in products aimed at boosting cognitive function. However, as ANS points out, it has performance implications as well. Choline can become depleted by rigorous exercise, so Choline Bitartrate serves as a way of maintaining optimal circulating Choline levels.

It has also been shown to reduce bodyweight while preserving strength in female martial arts athletes, but results like this need some replication before we can really draw conclusions there.

Greater Galangal Extract

Alpinia Galanga, also known as Greater Galangal, is a relative of Ginger often used in Thai cooking which may have mild psychoactive/stimulant effects when consumed in larger doses than what is traditionally used in cooking.

Driven Sports is definitely a first-mover on this one and, while we can’t look to any studies for indications of what Greater Galangal really does, it may add to the stimulant/sensory effects of Craze V2.

Little Clubmoss

Little Clubmoss (Lycopodium Selago), is a yet another herbal extract which may have psychoactive properties. Huperzine A, which is relatively common in pre-workout supplements these days, is generally extracted from certain types of Clubmoss, but it’s unclear whether that is true with Driven Sports V2.

Green Coffee Extract

I’m not sure why Driven Sports threw Green Coffee Extract into the Craze V2 formula. While GCE does have implications for weight-loss, its function in a pre-workout would likely be limited to the amount of Caffeine which his typically pretty low when compared to black coffee.

Mucuna Pruriens

Mucuna Pruriens contains L-Dopa, a direct precursor to the neurotransmitter Dopamine. Although Mucuna Pruriens (assuming the right dose) may effective increase Dopamine levels in the brain, it remains unclear how this might impact exercise performance.

Certainly there are mechanisms by which Mucuna Pruriens could favorably impact exercise performance but without any studies on the topic, it’s tough to say for sure.

Final thoughts on Craze V2

Is Craze V2 stronger and more effective than the original Craze? Hell no its not but it is a pretty solid supplement that will deliver some pretty intense workouts in the gym.

Craze V2 By Driven Sprots

This supplement will help increase endurance and has the ability to increase blood flow to the muscles. It also provides increased endurance allowing you to complete more sets without fatigue.

This supplement also has the ability to help reduce body fat from the Green Coffee Extract. Which has been shown to help with weight loss.

The taste seems to be in check I can drink this product down with no issues at all, which is pretty important to me. With all the supplements I take on a daily basis I want something that goes down smooth with no clumping.

This supplement can also help with mind to muscle connection which can be huge to help with muscle growth. This supplement will help with over all focus making it a great supplement to help during times when extra focus is needed.

So it’s not the maniac formula that it once was but I believe it’s still a solid supplement that will deliver results.

Try it out for yourself and get a great workout today.
